AGUSTINUS WIDI (Vocalist)

Agustinus Widi Nugraha, commonly known as Widi, is a vocalist from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Born in Samarinda on August 21, Widi began to seriously pursue his career in music in early 2013 by forming his first band, Lafayete.

His career took a significant turn when a friend invited him to join the band Genocide, which greatly expanded his presence in the music scene.

Widi gained notable attention on social media, particularly Instagram, for his skillful covers of songs by the American band “Slipknot”. His work earned him direct recognition from Slipknot’s official Instagram account and was later reposted by “indo vidgram.”

Known for his unique vocal style, Widi won the Best Vocalist Yogyakarta award in 2017 at the “Djarum Rockin Battle” event. Apparently, Genocide, the band he was a part of, demonstrated their quality by making it into the 10 Best Metal Albums in Indonesia.

In 2021, Widi joined Deadsquad and released a single titled “Curse of The Black Plague” on October 31, 2021. However, he decided to step down from his position from Deadsquad in 2022.

Currently, Widi is a member of both Haunted Era and Infernal Lamentations. Together with Gung Sincan, he is working on a surprise collaboration project featuring three extreme metal musicians in the Symphonic Technical Deathcore genre.
